INVESTIGATION INTO DEATH OF 3-MONTH OLD RESULTS IN OKC COUPLE BEING CHARGED WITH RAPE, FORCIBLE ORAL SODOMY, CHILD PORN, LEWD ACTS WITH A MINOR AND CHILD NEGLECT.

On 10/22/2020 OKC police were called out to an apartment on N. Council around 10:47am. When they arrived they found 3-month old “Lani” deceased.
The apartment belonged to Emanuel Gallardo. Inside the apartment was Lani’s mother Jaden Carter, Carter’s other child (1-yrs old), an unidentified female and the female’s baby. The unidentified female first said she was 21. It was later learned she was only 15 years old with a one year old child.
Investigators learned that the three had met online and were engaged in a three-way sexual relationship for some time. Additionally, many of their sexual encounters were captured on cell phone video by Gallardo.
On the morning that Lani died, Carter and the 15 year old had gotten up, gone downstairs and had been doing drugs and watching movies for hours. Investigators say Carter neglected to check on Lani and exposed the children in the home to their drug use.
The couple was arrested on December 9, 2020.
On December 18, 2020 they were formally criminally charged in Oklahoma County.
Jaden Carter: Lewd acts with a minor x4, and child neglect x2.
Emanuel Gallardo: Rape in the 2nd degree x2, forcible oral sodomy x2, manufacturing child porn, distributing child porn x2, and child neglect.
Emmanuel is being held on $500k and Carter on $250k.
The couple is next scheduled to appear in court on January 28, 2021 for a preliminary hearing conference.
Carter had previously set-upa GoFundMe in Lani’s name and claims Lani died of SIDS.
