2/21/2013 – Denver, CO — A Oklahoma man with a long criminal record has been arrested as part of a Colorado sex-trafficking case involving a 13-year-old girl.
According to published reports, Mack L. McCray, 41, and four others were criminally charged last week in Denver after an eight-month investigation by the Denver Police Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Innocence Lost Task Force.
Those criminally so far are Cyril “Jazz” Packer, 27; Desiree “Dez” Gallimore, 23; Socrates “Chrome” Packer, 30; Mack McCray, 41; and Earl Williams, 24. Each charged with multiple felony counts including child trafficking, inducement of child prostitution, sexual assault on a child and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Police say Williams approached the 13-year-old runaway last year and introduced her to McCray and Socrates Packer, who is also accused of sexually assaulting her.
McCray is accused of assisting by transporting her to a location in furtherance of later acts of prostitution.
All five defendants are in custody and will appear in Denver County Court next week to be advised of the charges, except McCray who is in custody in Oklahoma.
Public records show that McCray has a felony DOC resume that includes multiple drug possession and distribution convictions.
McCray was most recently released from an Oklahoma prison in 2007.
