12/31/09 – OKC, OK — A new video was posted yesterday that was taped December 17. In this video a ‘John’ has picked up a street prostitute who was soliciting in front of a homeless shelter in downtown OKC. The ‘John’ took the young girl to a park – there he was confronted by the Video Vigilante.

Hey Brian,
Your work has been appreciated and is already impacting other places. There’s a small town near my home that has had a lot of street prostitution in the last two years. The neighborhood has finally banded together and is doing video vigilante, like you!
Then the police came in and it has cleaned up 1000 percent.
The girls have gone to jail, hopefully they get sober and get some rehab and stop doing the drugs that make them prostitute this way….so sad…

Do you think prostitution ought to be legalized? Perhaps if it were, a couple things would happen that aren’t now: 1) more tax revenue for the city/state/feds and 2) the girls would be medically tested every 6 months.
Not to mention the cops and courts having more free time to focus on illegal immigration and drugs. The streets would be cleaned up, as the Johns would have to go to a place of residence (business in this case.) Then you could use your camera for issues that are really driving this country into the ground! Yeah!

Mark, let me tell ya. I live in Las vegas but right outside of clark county prostitution is legal. It does not solve any problems associated with this “line of work”. You sound like you are a John who doesnt want to worry about being caught. Do your own vigilante work for issues that you see more pressing matters. Good luck.

You say in the video that YOU are going to run his tags and call his wife. You cannot do this unless you are a law enforcement officer. Is this a scare tactic? Are you just trying to intimidate the man? Are you a liar? I think the answer could be yes to all three. I know for a fact that YOU cannot LEGALLY run his tags. Maybe you can call your friends at OKCPD and have them do it. Don’t get me wrong, I commend you for what you are doing, but do it as what you are: a citizen. Give the tape to law enforcement and leave busting the Johns to PROFESSIONALS.

Actually, all you’ve done is proven yourself an idiot. Yes, you can run tags. I run them at least 1-2 times a week. There are places online you can get the information if you’re smart enough to know where to look. Don’t believe me? Email me your Oklahoma tag number since I can tell you are in Oklahoma and I will reply to you with the registration information. Its perfectly legal, you’re just not real bright about the law.

I think that you are doing a fantastic job. Not that it matters what I think or anyone else that feels their opinions are important enough that they have to post them on this site. Disrespect, I am sure, is not the purpose or having a place for people to comment. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why anyone would have a negative thing to say about what you are doing. You are making a difference, if everyone made an effort to do the same, we would be alot better off. Thank you for all that you do.

Aids, HIV, Clamidia, Herpes, and a host of other Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) are STILL out there. You think a girl trying to make enough money to eat (living in a homeless shelter) can afford to be clean and take precautions?
A blow job IS having sex, you idiot and you can get diseases from that. Do you want someone doing that near your church, school or home?
Years ago, I was nearly picked up in front of my own home by a man about that age who was playing with himself in the car. He wanted me to get in. Thank God I didn’t.

Appreciate what you are doing Brian but dont you think you can pick and choose your battles? You stopped the act, you put the guy on the internet and you called the cops. Did you really need to call his wife? Is it your job to aid in the breakup of a family? Is it your job to embarrass his family? Is it your job to give his kids an image of their father they may not want. You may have never been on the other side of this thing by being with a hooker, but somewhere in your past you have done something you are not proud of and would not want your children to know about. Is it someone else’s place to go to your children and ruin their perception of their father? I think for the most part what you do is awesome. Stop the act, scare the hell out of these men, report the crime, but dont take it to the family. That is BS.

Dear Ladies,
I see alot of negative comments about johns. But 9 times out of 10, it’s the girlfriend or wife fault men r out here looking outside the relationship for these women. Most of the men probably hinted or mentioned things that ur doing that they don’t like or want changed. Usually the female mine is soo one sided into thinking that they are right all the time, that they can’t see things right in front of them.

Brian, I think what you’re doing is great. I’m a widow of two young children, and to think that there’s women out there that think this is the only way to take care of their children is terrible. I recommend you passing out express personnel cards to them. The same thing goes for strippers. You’re selling your body for money.

I agree with you asking the Johns if it was worth it. Let me ask you the same question. You go up to a car and jerk their door open. If they were caught off guard and thought they were being car jacked and came out with a gun and killed you on the spot, was it worth it? Do you think your wife and kids would think it was worth it? I can agree with what you are doing in theory but, when you jerk the door on someone’s car open, you have crossed a line. Make your tape, turn it over to the police but, you have no right to put your hands on their private property.

Fortunately the world is not completely comprised of people like yourself that are too cowardly to do the right thing or stand up for something. Imagine where we’d be if everyone went, “well I best not do anything because it might actually have negative consequences.” I guess you’d rather die getting hit by a bus then actually being a man.
As for opening car doors – it is 100% legal and has been addressed by prosecutors in Oklahoma County years ago. I think the fact I’ve done it for 15 years without incident shows I handle myself just fine.
If you wanna talk about rights, how about you focus on individuals rights to take their community back from the criminals instead of standing up for someone preying on mostly homeless and drug addicted prostitutes that are often minors.

Opening the doors is legal? Isn’t that considered entering, as in breaking and entering? I’m confused on that one. Around these parts you’d get picked up for opening car doors. I think if I were doing this I’d have a bit of kevlar on for added insurance. Too many hot headed nuts out there packing… while they’re packing.

Yes, opening the door is perfectly legal. Breaking and entry does not apply to a vehicle, only a residence. Additionally, any charges would require an element of intent to commit a crime. This was addressed years ago (I’ve been doing this for 15+ years). Opening the door is often required to positively identify the suspects, document the crime and stop the illegal activity.

I gotta say when you kept taunting him with telling his wife I was thinking, “dude all he has to do is put it in reverse and run you down”. And you have another video with a guy taking a hooker to a motel. The truck came back to H&R Enterprises. Did you notice the door would only open from the outside. You can see the working girl try to open it, then try the lock. Ultimately he came around to let her out. Wonder how many girls, maybe an unwary hitchhiker, have tried unsuccessfully to get out that door in the past. Creepy.

I just wanted to address the “opening the car door” issue. Ive been a cop for 14 years and let me say that I AGREE with what you’re doing. I have found that it sometimes takes total humiliation to stop someone from committing a crime. I live in the southeast and in my state, it IS illegal to open someone’s car door BUT like you said, intent must come into play. In my state’s Title 13 Criminal Code, all you have to do in order to commit “Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle” ( or UBEV ) is open the door. But like I said, there MUST be an intent to commit a crime. As a matter of fact, in my state you can just reach through an open window and its considered UBEV. Im not at all saying you’re wrong because the law could be and probably IS completely different in Oklahoma. Anyway, I just wanted to write and say that in SOME states opening someone’s car door with the intent to commit a crime, is called UBEV and it does not just apply to buildings, residences etc etc. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!! The video’s are hilarious!!

Thanks for the comment. Sounds like my actions would be legal in your state too as you indicated that intent is an element of the crime of UBEV. My intent is well established. Additionally, the fact that most often the crime the Johns are committing is technically a felony, also gives me latitude to do what is necessary to stop the crime and identify the offenders.

All these idiots who think you shouldn’t tell the wife aren’t thinking clearly or logically. If you didn’t tell the wife than there is an incredibly good chance she could get whatever disease he just contracted. Does that really seem fair to you people? It’d be like knowing this woman was about to be poisoned but not warning her… I, as a wife,would rather some stranger warn me and possibly break up my family than for me to never find out what my husband was doing and die of aids.
I saw what you were doing on a rerun on MSNBC today and I am so freaking proud people like you exist. I’m heartened to see you defending yourself and your actions when they are so clearly in the right.

Two things:
1) You committment to answering each post that addresses a concern or question is amazing, there simply isn’t another posting site that has that level of attention.
2) This is amazing…and scary! I actually spent several years picking up prostitutes and finally turned it around by thinking the same things you ask the caught Johns–you will lose everything in a second for what is usually not even good sex. I have a question with this last comment: how is it that this still goes on on that street, surely your videos must be well known in that area…no?
