2nd man sentenced in prostitute’s murder; life without parole

5/28/2010 – OKC, OK — A second man has pled guilty and been sentenced in the kidnapping and murder of a South Robinson Ave. street prostitute.

Lynn Shimon Hurley, aka ‘Swoll,’ 28, pleaded guilty to the first degree murder of Baby Girl Brackett, 37, and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Prosecutors let it be known they would be pursuing the death penalty against Hurley had his case gone to trial.

As previously reported on JohnTV.com, Hurley and his accomplice Quintez Deshawn Thomas, 27, kidnapped Brackett from her home in June of 2008. Shorlty thereafter the duo drove Brackett down a country road, soaked her in gasoline and set her on fire. She died the next day at a local hospital.

Hurley was known as a pimp and drug dealer. It is alleged that Brackett either owed money to Hurley or had stolen money from him.
