3/3/2010 – Westchester, NY — A divorced mother of four and registered Westchester nurse from Chappaqua was arrested Feb. 19 for soliciting prostitution via the Internet.

Melinda “Mindy” Brennan, 46, first caught police attention when neighbors began reporting suspicious behavior at Brennan’s rented home. Neighbors reportedly noticed men coming and going at odd hours and only staying for brief periods of time. Brennan’s home is just a mile from former President Bill Clinton’s.

During the police investigation it was discovered that Brennan was placing ads on the Internet site Craigslist for “sensuous massage” for “generous gentlemen.” The ads contained a photo of Brennan. An undercover officer responded to the ad and Brennan quoted a fee of $200 for an undisclosed sexual act. When the officer arrived and Brennan accepted the payment she was arrested.

Brennan was described by her landlord and others as struggling financially and owed $20,000 in back rent. She had recently been served with an eviction notice from her foreclosed and falling apart two story rental. Brennan reportedly told police she had been posting ads on Craigslist for just under two months. Brennan kept a little black book of her customer’s first names and telephone numbers.

Brennan reportedly divorced her attorney husband last April and had been living on her own for the last two years without her four children who are in their father’s custody.

Brennan has been charged with a single misdemeanor count of prostitution and was released from custody on an O.R. bond.
